I was seven years old when I participated in a competition at Ajivasan. The competition was classified in three rounds – the audition, semi – finals and finals. I still remember that in the semi – finals, I sang the song ‘O Paalanhare’ and received a standing ovation. During the finals, I was very sick. I had high fever. I performed the song ‘Jyoti Kalash Chalke’ really well and finally won the competition. I was very small, I couldn’t understand anything as for me it was only singing a song and then holding a trophy because my name was called out. However, I feel very happy now that I look at my younger self, achieving so much!
