This was a competition organised by Haribhau Vishwanath Musicals held at Rachana Sansad. I remember my mom could not be there with me on that day and I was going to sing a Marathi song called ‘Yaa Chimanyanoo’ – An emotional song that expresses the feelings and emotions of a bird calling out to her children to return home as the day was welcoming the dusk. I think I could connect with the emotions very well that day as my mother too was far away from me and I was small. I also played the Harmonium and received the ‘Judges Choice Award’ for it.
